Wellbeing Support

Most of us grow up with five senses and can’t imagine what it’s like to lose any one of those.
For some ex-service people, this is their reality. Suddenly their whole way of life is changed, even walking to the shops becomes a huge task.

Fortunately, Blind Veterans are here to help rebuild their lives, but they can’t do it alone. This is where you come in.

As part of the Wellbeing Support team, you’ll support the wider health and wellbeing team to deliver varied wellbeing programmes designed to give the veterans both the motivation and the ability to live a full, healthy lifestyle and engage in meaningful activities.

You’ll work as part of a team to research, plan, organise and facilitate a holistic wellbeing programme to be delivered to our veterans.

You’ll need a qualification in a field such as: health and social care, sports, exercise, recreation, IT, art or similar.

You’ll also need empathy and a caring personality to allow you to always put the needs of the veterans first.

This is a full time role working on a 5-week rolling rota, covering days, evenings and weekends.

We offer:

- Salary of £31,205.95 per annum
- Generous annual leave with the option to buy additional days
- Pension scheme with generous employer contributions
- Healthcare cash plan
- Life Assurance
- Access to legal services and mental health support
- Employee assistance programme
- Paid professional subscriptions and discounts
- Professional and personal development
- Enhanced Maternity/Paternity/Adoption pay
