We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity that helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives after their sight has been affected. Founded in 1915, by Sir Arthur Pearson, to help the many veterans losing their sight after the First World War, we have over a century of experience providing the best care to our veterans.

Since then, we’ve provided support to tens of thousands of vision-impaired veterans, helping them to regain their independence. By providing our members with the tools and skills they need to lead a fulfilling and active life, we ensure they remain valued members of society.

We are currently seeking a Housekeeper to join our team in Llandudno on a part-time basis, working 33 hours a week on a rolling roster, for a 6 months fixed term contract.

The Role

As a Housekeeper, you will provide an excellent cleaning service for members and customers at our Llandudno Centre.

Undertaking daily cleaning tasks within all rooms in the Centre, you will:

- Complete laundry tasks and operate all laundry equipment
- Clear, clean and set up function rooms
- Dispose of waste, compact and recycle it
- Ensure requests are reviewed and completed where possible
- Ensure all paperwork required is completed and kept up to date

About You

To be considered as a Housekeeper, you will need:

- Previous cleaning experience in a care home or hotel setting
- COSHH, Infection Control and Manual Handling Awareness from prior experience or formal training

Please note, this role will involve working on a shift pattern that may include weekends.

This position is subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks.
