We’re Blind Veterans UK, a charity that helps vision-impaired ex-service people from every generation rebuild their lives regardless of how or when they lost their sight. Founded in 1915 by Sir Arthur Pearson to help the many veterans losing their sight after the First World War, we have supported those blinded in subsequent wars and military engagements, including the Second World War, and more recently, the conflicts in the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan.
We are now looking for a Centre Operations Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time basis, for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Role
As a Centre Operations Co-ordinator, you will provide comprehensive and proactive business and administrative support across our centre in Rustington.
Working closely with the Head of Centre Services, you will help improve service delivery, enhance operational efficiency and support regulatory compliance. You will ensure members, customers and stakeholders receive a high-quality and professional service.
You will also support the leadership team in shaping the future direction of the centre while representing us both internally across the charity and externally with key stakeholders.
Additionally, you will:
- Assist with operational coordination to improve service delivery and efficiency
- Support regulatory and governance requirements across centre operations
- Help co-ordinate communication with internal teams, members and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of operational improvements
About You
To be considered as a Centre Operations Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Proven experience providing high-level executive and administrative support, including acting on behalf of senior leaders and influencing decision-making at a strategic level
- Experience supporting clinical governance processes, including reporting on infection prevention and control, medication audits, and other quality assurance activities
- An understanding of insurance administration within a service or organisational setting
- A good understanding of information governance in a service environment
- Advanced proficiency in Office 365 applications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to produce high-quality minutes, reports, and presentations
- A highly organised and adaptable approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and proactively solve problems under pressure
- A team player mentality
- Self-motivation, resilience, and a proactive attitude combined with strong personal integrity
